Haand was formed in 2012 when Mark Warren and Chris Pence, friends, started with the passion to emulate excellence in craftsmanship. The store offers handmade and porcelain pottery used in thousands of houses. For years, they had been facing hardships and seeking contract bidding before finally establishing their business out of a farmhouse. Later, they moved to a warehouse in Eli Whitney, NC, and the business took off. Haand now has over 20 employees and is based out of a historic hosiery mill in the downtown area of Burlington, NC. In 2015, they also established Haand Hospitality, working with many recognized restaurants to address the hospitality industry's needs. The term "Haand" comes from an old Norse term for "hand".
